There is no one-size-fits-all solution to meet the needs of very different individuals with their own goals.
The program is tailored to each person, but the shared aim is to be an active and engaged member of the community.
This Medicaid-funded program prepares people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently as actively as each is able. An individualized, one-to-one approach is at the heart of our model, and it starts at the beginning as we work with each participant and their family to find the staff member who is the right fit. The areas of focus vary from one individual—from skills of daily living, to assistance with money management or socialization— as each mentor and mentee work together to discover and define specific interests and capabilities.
